The owners had been living in that house for more than 35 years and although they had been making updates now they wanted to make more substantial changes. Finally, a reform was chosen that allowed all the needs of the property to be met but without renouncing the character and essence of the house. The challenge in this reform was more to redefine the spaces than to update them.
The day areas had to be very spacious to receive the family and the night areas very comfortable and adapted to the new realities.
The light in the house only entered through one of the facades that faces the outside, since the other faces the street, but in any case, that was not a problem because the house has an immense garden of more than 800m2 with trees centenarians, different areas to be, swimming pool, and even an orchard! An oasis within the city.
The materials we use are of the highest quality, Italian kitchen by Arclinea, parquet floors with very wide planks and aluminum frames on the outside and lacquered wood on the inside to match the wall.
At a technological level, we provide the house with a home automation system from which you can control absolutely everything with your mobile, lights, blinds, or even turn on the gas fireplace. Another of the requirements that the property asked of us was to put an end to the uncomfortable humidity that they had from living on the ground floor of an old building through which a stream used to pass underneath. The installation of appliances specially designed to prevent capillarity, hot/cold underfloor heating and special materials, paints and finishes for the walls made us achieve our goal.
To carry out this reform we require an architect. Moving before and after work, furniture storage and the property moved to live in another house during the works.
